Full Description

If you're planning a wedding or gathering, you'll want to seriously consider Southern Philosophy. The furnishings and ambience exceed expectations. Enter on the main level into the great room with 28 foot vaulted ceilings with stacked stone fireplace. Relax and gather on the large leather sectional and enjoy the views. The adjoining dining room seats 8 comfortably on the rustic and hand made log dining table with additional breakfast bar seating. A fully equipped kitchen with plenty of storage and workspace includes stainless steel appliances and refrigerator with ice maker and water.

A half bath and utility room with side by side washer and dryer are also on the main level for your convenience.

A master bedroom with king sized hand made aspen log bed and large bathroom with jacuzzi tub and walk in stand up shower finish off the main level. Upgraded mattress and bedding are standard.

Step outside on the deck and use the ramp entry way to make your way over to the outdoor gazebo.

Upstairs you'll find a loft sitting area perfect for reading a book in the reading nook with view of the mountains. Two additional suites with private bath and soaking tubs are located upstairs adjacent to the loft area and include private temperature controls for the upper floor.

Enjoy a movie with your family and friends in your private home theater room with a 9 foot screen and 6 leather reclining theater seats.

The lower level deck includes a private hot tub. Just down the stairs into the game room you can play a game of pool or air hockey. A large sitting area with pull out sleeper sofa and mini fridge is a great area for the kids so that the adults can gather upstairs in a quieter environment. A private sauna room is also on the lower level, perfect for ending a busy day of hiking. The kids will enjoy the lower level bunk room with queen over queen bunks and private bath!

    "We had FUN!"

    Words cannot describe the beauty of this property. It is like a movie. The location of this property is perfect. It is just far enough away but at the same time just close enough for nightlife. My fri…ends and I enjoyed every minute of our time here. So, the property is pristine! On our second day of our stay the manger called to make sure that we needed anything. It was clean, decorated beautifully and spacious. All the bedrooms where spacious and no one felt as though they were being cheated out of space. The air hockey table and movie theater were a hit! The large spacious living area connected to the dining room that held the beautiful farm style dining table and a wall of floor to ceiling windows and doors allowed us to enjoy each other without having to be in the same room. The rocking chairs on the deck allowed us to enjoy the serenity of the sun setting. It was so beautiful we decided to go out to dinner only one night out of our stay. With a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill, we said why not go to the grocery store that is within 7 miles of the property and enjoy the space around us was our reasoning! We all began talking about bring different groups of family members for vacation or even celebrating holidays! It is just that beautiful. During the day we took the short ride, about 15 minutes, to pottery class one day then the Titanic museum another. Downtown Gatlinburg was great for people watching and eating ice cream. There are numerous restaurants and activities. We didn’t want to leave.

    "It's all good in the woods"

    "Perfect cabin! "

    My family and I absolutely loved our cabin in elk springs! It was perfectly located in between pigeon forge and downtown gatlinburg. The inside was gorgeous with a beautiful staircase and floor to cei…ling fireplace! Large kitchen and outdoor grill had everything we needed we cooked a lot for our family of 10. Very clean. The view was picturesque. The staff was very nice and quick to take care of our needs, I.e. pick up garbage. If I ever need to go to Tennessee again I will definitely stay here.

    "Labor Day Weekend at Elk Springs Resort"

    11 family members stayed for 3 nights. Excellent cabin in excellent location neat Gattlinburg. Secluded but easy to get to the Parkway, Gattlinburg, and Pigeon Forge if you go back roads. Will definitely be back next year.

    We rented Southern Philosophy, Misty Mountain Lodge and Summit Sanctuary for our wedding ceremony and reception. All of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding that they ever attended! T…he staff was very accommodating and helpful, offering their assistance with any last minute needs! We could not have asked for a better location! The property was perfect for a 40 x 20' tent and our 85 guests! Southern Philosophy was used as a central point for our reception as it has a large cathedral ceiling living room which was the perfect size! We rented the three cabins for our famiies and close friends to stay for the weekend, which was close to 40 people! . Everyone had a wonderful time during their stay, not only enjoying the ceremony but all the offerings of the cabins! From pool tables and theater rooms to saunas and hot tubs, Elk Springs Resort is top notch! No comparison to other rentals in the area! If you're looking for a fun, relaxing weekend away, or an excellent spot for a moderate sized wedding, you've found it! Thanks to all of the staff for making our special day better than imagined!

    We spent a few days here and enjoyed every minute of it. The location was right in the middle between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Great location for when traffic gets busy during the seasons & you ca…n take the backroads to the cabin and miss all the traffic. Once there, the kids & adults enjoyed the basement level with pool, air hockey, hot tub, sauna, & theatre room. There were nice flat screen tvs in every room. The management staff checked on us throughout our stay and were very nice. The cabin was clean for the most part. I think the comforters need an updating; especially in the master. The cabin had no skillet/frying pan, but we brought our griddle from home so no problem. I'm sure if we had told the management company they would have taken care it. Both family's can't wait to stay again. We were very pleased with Southern Philosophy & Elk Mountain.

    Our family of seven had a GREAT time in "our" cabin, Southern Hospitality.
    Our children's ages are 12, 10 , 8 and twin 6 year olds and without exception they absolutely loved the cabin. We took a…dvantage nightly of the Theater room and its' 9' screen. The pool table and hot tub were also favorites. For Mom and Dad, the best experience was having all of the bedrooms so there was no need to fight about who slept where.
    Overall, we had a wonderful experience and continue to talk about "our" cabin. We fell in love with this cabin and will most definitely come back.

    Very nice cabin...had a minor leaky toilet issue and maintenance man was at cabin within 10 min. (11 pm)..very timely!! Love this cabin and would definitely recommend this cabin. My family has also …rented Silver Creek Cabin and Bear Cub Lodge...all these cabins were extremely nice!! We will definitely return when our quadruplets get another college break!!!

    We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Elk Springs Resort. The cabin and scenery were gorgeous. Our reservation was for 10 people, but despite this, there was ample room for everyone to mo…ve about and engage in a variety of activities in and outside the cabin. The cabin had everything that we needed amenity wise. Entertainment for both adults and children alike. It is conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, and the downtown area. Perfect Thanksgiving getaway for my family. We will definitely be coming back.

    "Negative feed back."

    The only negative things that our family had was the TV's needed be more updated and we would have liked to have satellite tv. The cabin was very comfortable but the temperature was hard to regulate. …We would rate it a 95% out of 100%. We would rent again if we come back to Gatlinburg. Thank You!

    We stayed for 6 great nights at this house. The house was spacious enough for all 8 of us to sleep comfortably and have our time away from family as well. Kids loved the downstairs gaming and theater area. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    We were extremely happy with this rental company. We have been visiting the area for many years. This year, we found ourselves in need of a more professional rental company that offered cleaner cabi…ns in better working condition. Elk Sprints Resort exceeded our expectations. The customer service is excellent and they are very professional and friendly. The cabin property was very clean and the check-in/check-out procedure is much more efficient and customer friendly than some of the other companies. The location of the resort is great and this cabin had spectacular views at all times of the day and evening. We generally prefer to be closer to the national park side (Ski Mtn area); however, we found the location of this rental to be only minutes from the main strip and by using the back road of the strip we could still enter the park with only a few extra minutes. We are already planning our next trip and will be using Elk Springs again.

    "Southern Philosophy is a beautiful cabin"

    We just returned from a weeks stay at Elk Springs Southern Philosophy. There were nine of us and the cabin had plenty of room for us all to have privacy, but, felt cozy and inviting. There were two …teen age boys in the group and they thoroughly enjoyed having their own space downstairs with all the amenities it has to offer.
    The cabin is well furnished, kitchen has all the basics, & beds were very comfy. Only negative there is that one bed is a queen size upstairs in one bedroom, and the pull out sleeper sofa was uncomfortable, but they usually are.
    Overall, the cabin was clean and well kept. We would recommend it for the beauty of the cabin, the surrounding area and the amenities this cabin offers.
    Thank you Dan for your help in deciding which cabin would be best for us & the suggestions for things to do during our stay. Everyone is very professional, & took care of any issues we had in a very timely manner.

    "Awesome Cabin in the Woods"

    The cabin was all I wanted and needed and more. It was beautifully decorated with all the bells and whistles. My family was very impressed with the cabin. It was extremely spacious. The pool table and… air hockey table was the best part. We did have 1 issue with the cable, but after 1 call to the office it was fixed within 30 minutes. I will book again when I visit the area. We enjoyed everything about this unit.
