There are numerous things to do in Gatlinburg to tempt you during the day, with loads of fun around every bend, but the fun doesn’t stop at sunset. In fact, Gatlinburg at night holds many treasures, with some nightlife attractions actually best suited for after sundown.

Gatlinburg at night holds its own wonder, and one of the most magical things to do is take in the twinkling city lights of the town from a high vantage point. There are several Gatlinburg nightlife attractions designed just for this purpose.

Visit Gatlinburg’s highest point by summiting Anakeesta’s newest addition, their “Anivista Tower.” This state-of-the art  tower offers incredible 360-degree views and a large observation platform to view the surrounding mountains and sparkling lights at night. Or try Anakeesta’s elevated “Treetop Skywalk” that offers crystal lights along it’s winding treetop trail at night.

 

Another premiere Gatlinburg nightlife attraction is visiting SkyLyft Park where you can ascend the mountain in a twinkling chair lift.  Then you can walk across the longest suspension bridge in North America lit up with brilliant lights as you take in the brilliant nightscape of downtown Gatlinburg.

 

You don’t have to summit a mountain to enjoy the lights of Gatlinburg at night. Experience one of Gatlinburg at night’s premier attractions, the Gatlinburg Space Needle. Located in the heart of downtown, this 407-foot observation tower is another wonderful way to take in the sparkling lights of Gatlinburg at night. Not only that but you get to experience rising to the top of this tower in a glass elevator before soaking in the 360 panorama of the Gatlinburg skyline and surrounding Great Smoky Mountains.

Coaster Crazy

The options for Gatlinburg Nightlife Attractions are really endless, if you really want to pump up the adrenaline consider a nighttime ride on the Rowdy Bear Coaster, a gravity propelled mountain coaster that speeds up to 35 miles an hour. Feel the thrill and mystery of night lit up with colorful lights as you rush down and around the curves of Rowdy Bear Mountain.

The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is also an option for a nighttime outing. This mountain coaster features double and single car riders, as well as a specially designed silent track. It can also hit speeds of up to 35 miles and hour and is thrill at night with twinkling lights surrounding the track.

Haunted Hollers

Gatlinburg at night can be especially spooky when you sign up for an unforgettable ghost tour. Don’t miss your chance to explore the supernatural and learn of ghostly legends of this mountain town with Ghost and Haunt Tours of Gatlinburg. Choose from their “Walking Tour” or “Extended Investigative Tour.” and learn about the paranormal activity lurking all around.

Continue the creepy before or after your ghost tour with a visit to Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, a 10,000 square foot haunted house filled with ghosts, ghouls, and live actors to ramp up your fear factor.

Night on the Town

Gatlinburg nightlife attractions aren’t just limited to the thrills and chills.  Downtown Gatlinburg nightlife attractions also include a vibrant bar and live music scene. You can enjoy a drink while you people watch the passersby below at “Hogs & Honey’s Saloon,” or Puckers Sports Grill. You might also consider a moonshine tasting at Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery “The Barrel House” and enjoy some live bluegrass music, onsite daily from noon until dark. Putting Around – Night Golf in Gatlinburg

If it’s a rainy night in Gatlinburg no fear, Treasure Quest Golf is a championship 18-hole indoor mini golf attraction. With an ancient Temple as it’s backdrop this mini-golf course features wild and wonderous scenes to put around and through and five of their holes now feature spectacular black lights for more challenges and fun.
