Admit it: when you go on vacation, one of the things you look forward to is buying souvenirs for friends, family – and yourself! If you have already booked a Gatlinburg vacation rental cabin for, or are thinking about booking a cabin for, the middle of July, then you are in luck. From July 15 to July 24, thousands of locals and visitors will head to the Gatlinburg Convention Center for the Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair.
The Craftsmen Fair is in its 36th year, drawing even more visitors and vendors than ever. It will take you hours to walk around the fair this year, taking in all the different booths featuring a variety of artisans. Whether you are a collector of pottery, an admirer of watercolors, a wood carving aficionadoor mad for handmade jewelry, there is something for everyone at the fair. While the majority of artisans come from the mountains of Gatlinburg, you will also get to see artists from in and around the southeastern states.
When you are ready to explore Gatlinburg’s artistic side, grab your family and head on down to the convention center. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Adults pay just $6 while children under 12 are always free. Not only can you buy amazing gifts and souvenirs at the show, you will also be treated to bluegrass and country music. Take in the classic sounds of Dennis Lee and Band everyday at 12,2, and 4 daily; Keith Longbotham and Band play at 12 and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
The Gatlinburg Convention Center is just a short drive from your luxury cabin rental. If you have any questions about how to access the convention center, where to park or anything else related to your stay, don’t hesitate to contact us at the Gatlinburg Cabin Rentals main office. You may even see us wandering around the fair as we stock up on gifts and goodies for our own friends and family.
