How was your Thanksgiving? Are you still feeling a little stuffed from all of the juicy turkey, buttery mashed potatoes, and Mom’s famous pumpkin pie? We at the Elks Springs Resort Gatlinburg Cabins had a wonderful holiday and are now ready to start preparing for the end-of-the-year festivities that are now upon us. One of our favorite things to do during this time is to head on down to the Parkway for the Gatlinburg Winter Magic Tunes & Tales.
Every Friday and Saturday night between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve you can listen to Dickens-style quartet singers as they stroll along the Parkway from 5 PM to 9 PM. There is nothing quite like live Christmas music to get even the Scroogiest of holiday revelers in the spirit. Decked out in traditional Victorian-era costumes, you can’t miss the sight and beautiful sound of these wandering singers. This is the winter version of Gatlinburg’s popular Smoky Mountains Tunes & Tales program that they feature earlier in the year.
Zeno the Gatlinburg bear will also come out of hibernation at this time, so if you see a big bear wandering the Parkway, don’t be scared – stop and take a friendly picture with him!
Look for the Victorian carolers at the Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade on December 3rd starting at 7:30 PM. This is the 35th year that the parade will take place in this beautiful mountain town, an event that the locals and visitors alike look forward to every year. The parade will be streaming live on a Gatlinburg TN webcam, so be sure to watch if you can’t make it. Again, you can watch the Gatlinburg Parade live and streaming.
If you need directions to the Parkway or recommendations on where to find parking, please feel free to contact us at the main office. When it comes to your luxury cabin rental this holiday season, we want you to end the year in style and comfort – in the Elk Springs Resort Gatlinburg Cabin Rentals way!
