The Tennessee Smokies, a Chicago Cubs Double A farm team and members of the Southern League, make their home at Smokies Park in Sevierville, TN.  Completed in 2000 Smokies Park features easy access, unrestricted views, plenty of parking and easy access to concessions with little lines and plenty of public seating.  Seat prices range from $5 to $10 and can often be purchased right at the park the day of the game.

If you have young kids buy a $5 berm seat and enjoy the park from the right field, left field or outfiled grass berm areas.┬á There are plenty of kids throwing baseballs and footballs out in the berm.┬á Bring a blanket or towel so you don’t have to sit in the damp grass.┬á All seats, including the berm provide a great view of the game.┬á Because it’s a minor league game there is a lot of entertainment provided other than baseball and fan participation between innings is encouraged.┬á Kids, meet over at the left field concessions just prior┬áto the bottom of the 3rd inning and┬áyou can run accross the field trying to chase the chicken mascot, a fan favorite.

Smokies Park is located at route 66 and Interstate 40 at exit 407.  Probably the most signifiant interstate exit in the entire state.  The park is about a 30 minute drive from Elk Springs Resort Gatlinburg Cabins.
