There’s plenty to do in Gatlinburg this time of year. We’ve been so busy that we haven’t had time to hike in the park or even stop in down at the artists loop at the edge of the resort. Passing thru the Arts and Crafts Community we’ve noticed that the artists and woodcarvers are in full swing. If you’re in the area, we recommend stopping by Alewine Pottery where they have live folk music daily and are almost always hand making pottery in their shop.
We had a group in from Florida this week and while it’s been a little warmer than normal, they certainly enjoyed a break from the heat. I guess 85 is a lot cooler than 98 and humid.
We’re busy here at the resort finishing our final plans on our Wedding Chapel. Our concept plan features a look that is architecturally different than normal for this area and will feature a 270 degree view of the mountains. Our concept plan (above) and view looking towards the alter thru the windows (below) should make for a great structure and backdrop to have weddings and church group meetings.
