Dollywood has officially opened for the 2008 season on March 21, 2008.┬á With over 40 rides and attractions, Dollywood will leave you and your family with many memories in the Great Smoky Mountains.┬á Featuring the New 2008 ride River Battle which contains an eight passenger raft equipped with soaker guns ready to aim at other riders and maybe family members who decided to sit this one out.┬á Dollywood also is featuring a new roller coaster opened in 2007, the 17 million dollar mystery mine.

Avoid the heavy traffic thru Gatlinburg and the spur.┬á Dollywood is conveniently accessible via a back road from Elk Springs Resort.┬á Only 1 Stop Sign to Dollywood.
Dollywood is located less than 15 minutes from Elk Springs Resort Luxury Gatlinburg Cabins.┬á From the resort, Guests can exit to the right on Powdermill Rd. and travel┬á4.8 miles until the Road├é┬áends. It will┬áend at┬áUpper Middle Creek Rd.; however, the road is unlabeled.┬á Turn left and travel 2.5 miles to Veteran Blvd turning right, following the signs to the new entrance to Dollywood.┬áThe back road access to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge is yet another benefit to staying at Elk Springs Resort Gatlinburg Cabins.
