Elk Springs Resort Goes Green

Elk Springs Resort feels strongly about protecting the beautiful environment that mother nature has provided for all of us and we have implemented energy efficient green building standards as well as efficient operating methods to reduce waste and improve energy efficiency.

Building Standards
Use of r-20 insulation in ceilings, programmable thermostats, tank less on demand hot water heaters, energy efficient appliances, recycled composite decking materials and other items during the construction process.  To minimize waste entering the environment Elk Springs Resort has its own on site sewage treatment facility that filters waste and discharges clean liquids into the environment unlike septic systems that releases sewage directly into drain fields.
